Job Description: 

You will give our clients the best care possible, as a personal support worker with Ericsson PSW consultant services. You are aware that, due to some clients’ conditions (sickness or infirmity), they may find seemingly easy activities or tasks challenging. Your duties includes but not limited to providing your clients, personal grooming such as cleaning, bathing, dressing, incontinence care, assistance with tioleting  and preparing meals. You may also be expected to provide company or emotional support and some light housework. You might be required to accompany the clients’ to make community trips.

Other Duties:  Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and minor housework; give social and helpful company, monitoring, care, and preservation; and report changes in patient’s behavior to assigned supervisor or client. Communicate and demonstrate basic information in accordance with a patient’s pre-established Plan of Care

Your duties, roles and responsibilities are not limited to the above, but also based on individual client’s needs and plan of care. 

 

QUALIFICATION:

  • Holder of a PSW certification from the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) or the National Association of Certified Personal Support Workers (NACPSW).
  • Has at least one year of clinical experience relevant to the job role
  • Has Canadian criminal record clearance
  • Has received medical clearance
  • Has completed CPR for Health Care Providers training (HCP)
  • A dedicated worker with a strong love for care for others.
  • Ability to take instructions and carryout task.
  • A competent, motivated professional who prioritizes the client’s needs.
  • Someone who is Responsible, organise, puntual, fexible.
  • Connect with clients, maintaining professionalism, honesty, and reliability.
  • Exercise initiative and good judgment with ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrates ability to organize patient care demands and to set priorities as per patient needs.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • Successful candidates are required to work rotational shifts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of staff, clients and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Helping in fostering a peaceful and safe environment.
  • Willingness to learn.

  • Weekend Hours:  Every hour worked on the weekends is compensated with an additional $0.50. It’s more likely that we can place you with frequent clients if you have a lot of weekend availability. This makes it possible for us to offer you a consistent schedule.
